At Mountain Meadow Ranch we offer our campers the opportunity to engage in a complete equestrian experience. With our exceptional Wranglers and horses, Mountain Meadow has developed a horseback riding activity that goes beyond just a trail ride. Campers will not only have the opportunity to explore miles of trails through the National Forest bordering our 900 acre spread, but will also get the chance to experience true horsemanship through grooming, tacking, and caring for our horses. Our Wranglers are equipped to instruct campers of all skill levels in Western riding and offer experiences such as bathing, one-on-one lessons in the round pen, and morning round-up for those campers looking for more opportunities to get close to the horses.
Campers who cannot seem to get enough of everything horse related and express a desire to dedicate time in refining their horsemanship skills, are able to try their hand at becoming a Junior Wrangler. Junior Wranglers are those horse lovers who have a strong work ethic and are excited about assisting the Wranglers in all of the behind the scene work that makes the horse program happen: mucking the arena, rounding up the horses each morning, feeding, assisting Wranglers when the vet or farrier is in camp, etc. Regardless of your camper’s skill level, the only requirements for joining in on the rides or anything horse related are closed-toe shoes and long pants!
