Animal Care Program at Summer Camp
Activities >> Animal Care Program
As with any working ranch, there are a variety of farm animals that need special attention. Through Mountain Meadow Ranch's Animal Care Program for kids known as “Adopt-an-Animal,” interested campers take on the responsibility to daily love and care for all of the ranch critters. Under Jody’s supervision, campers are taught in the proper care and feeding of sheep, goats, pigs, chickens, and rabbits. There are even baby calves to bottle feed and love. Up at our aviary known as the "Bugack Bird Barn" there are eggs to gather, incubators to keep an eye on and chickens to feed. Our campers become attached to these animals, all of which are an important part of our California summer camp family.
